Happy Easter

Guess what! We are back again! After not blogging for over a year, we thought there might be somebody out there who would like to know what is going on in our family. Maybe...you never know.

Where to start? Melissa (Sestra Pysnakova) is on a mission in the Czech Republic. David Kent Pysnak was born (last year). And other than that, nothing else is really new. Everybody is doing great.

Here is a visual update of our many favorite days...
We made a new friend during Christmas: Rebecca, an exchange student from Slovakia
Christmas dances with Grandpa, laughs, snow, treats, and warmth, nothing can get better than that!

There has been many fun days over the past few months. We have met many new people and gone to fun places. Mike and his family came to visit after Christmas. That was awesome.

Homemade pizza day!
Bad hair day!

Snowed-in day!
Giant icicles day!
We had a few crazy storms this winter. But now, the sun is shining and the snow is gone. Let's hope it stays that way!
We've had a few birthdays so far....making a cake for May

Happy Birthday! It was delicious!
Happy Birthday, Mikey!

"I don't believe in opening presents first...if you get a cookie, I get a cookie too!"

Happy Birthday, Emma!

Mischievous Emma...caught on camera while in the act

Happy 1st Birthday, David!
David is at that stage where he has constant bruises all over, but he is still a good sport and loves exploring everything! And he is definitely ready to help his mom with the grocery shopping!

What a handsome little boy!
There is our family update. Much more has happened, but this summed up everything pretty well. Until next time (which hopefully won't be in two years)...

Our Little Munchkins

We are back to blogging after more than 2 years. It's better late than never. We had a wonderful Christmas with Michael and Tiff and their adorable children. It was so relaxing to be able to enjoy being at home with family. Mikey wanted snow so bad, but the snow storm came after they left. Too bad. We do miss our little munchkins though. Can't wait to see them again!

I Know That My Savior Loves Me

A few weeks ago we came across some old tapes that we had in the basement. On one of them we found a recording of Meg singing a beautiful song. It's called I Know That My Savior Loves Me and we are amazed at how fitting the lyrics are:

A long time ago in a beautiful place,
Children were gathered ’round Jesus.
He blessed and taught as they felt of His love.
Each saw the tears on His face.
The love that He felt for His little ones
I know He feels for me.
I did not touch Him or sit on His knee,
Yet, Jesus is real to me.

I know He lives!
I will follow faithfully.
My heart I give to Him.
I know that my Savior loves me.

Now I am here in a beautiful place,
Learning the teachings of Jesus.
Parents and teachers will help guide the way,
Lighting my path ev’ry day.
Wrapped in the arms of my Savior’s love,
I feel His gentle touch.
Living each day, I will follow His way,
Home to my Father above.

Yes, Megan truly did follow our Savior right back into the arms of our Heavenly Father. We think about her everyday and we miss her, but we find joy in knowing that because of our Savior, we will be reunited one day. We know she's with us. We feel her. How grateful we are for Jesus Christ and for His sacrifice that makes it possible for us to be with our loved ones again.

Summer 09

We had a beautiful summer filled with many special experiences. On August 2 we celebrated Meg's 16th birthday. We know Meg was with us because we felt her presence strongly. Our hearts were filled with so much peace and gratitude for the time we were able to spend with her.

Here are some pictures of Meg that brought back a lot of memories.

The three girls.

Her beautiful smile!

Here she is posing on our balcony. She loves beautiful sunsets and she is always smiling.

She loves her nephew!

In Santa Barbara, California at the beach. We would go running every morning.

Visiting the temple in LA.

The girls. We would leave them in the car and then come back to find them taking pictures of themselves.

We found this picture of the clouds on Meg's camera. It was as if she was reminding us of our beautiful Heavenly home where she is now and where we all can return and be together for all eternity.

We celebrated mom's birthday this summer and dad gave her a beautiful gold locket. Inside of it are two pictures of Meg. The best part is that on the front is engraved "Always and Forever". Megan will always and forever be a part of our lives and we can't wait for the day when we can hold her in our arms again.

We love you Meg!

New bedrooms and fun dances make very happy girls.

We recently remodeled the girls bedrooms...

Megan in her newly painted room. Her colors are green and white.

May in her newly painted and refurnished room. The walls are yellow, the ceiling is blue, and there is a purple strip along the top.

Thank you to Bernard for all of his hard work and of course to the girls who helped as well. Now that the smell of paint is gone, they are both excited to sleep in their new bedrooms.

Megan also went to a stake dance. May acted as her personal hair stylist.

Megan just before she went to a dance. May did her hair beautifully!

AuTuMn!!!

Fall is here and we love the weather. Melissa is enjoying BYU and Mikey is getting cuter and cuter. We love to see him grow. Soon he'll be walking.

Happy Halloween! Mikey in his Eyore costume! Doesn't he make such a cute donkey?

Mikey is being thrown up in the air by his Aunt Megan. Look at that cute smile!

Michael, Tiffany, and little Mikey. Such a cute family! We feel so blessed to have them in our lives.

We really love Autumn and our little family get-togethers. Everyone is here except for Melissa, who is at BYU, and Tiffany, who is of course taking the picture. How blessed we are to have each other!
